How to celebrate Valentine's during Lockdown!
I know, you know, we know, another celebration that we have to spend locked up at home. If you need a pick-me-up, Valentine’s Day 2021 actually falls on a Sunday so many of us have nothing much to do anyway. There’s no better time like the present to show some appreciation for the people you adore the most, we could all use some extra love. Here are some of our ideas for a loved-up night at home. A lovy-dovy breakfast If you’re not great in the kitchen, order a breakfast basket in advance. Then, set up a warm and cozy breakfast corner in your home and enjoy some food and cuddles. If you’re keen to cook, make some heart shaped pancakes drizzled with chocolate syrup, strawberries and creme fraiche. Scatter some heart confetti or rose petals on the floor and set the mood with a happy morning song and some heart shaped or engraved ballons. Plan a treasure hunting Keeps things exciting with a sweet treasure hunt and make your love look for their present! You could also make a lovely scrapbook or create an adorable slideshow for a more emotional moment. At home cinema If you’re not yet sick of movies, create a proper cinema-esque experience at home. Stock up on popcorn, chocolate, nachos and all your favourite treats. Get some Valentine party supplies like our heart shaped plates or napkins to show your partner some cute-love. Last but not least, whip up some margarita’s, dim your lights and choose a film you both love or pick one at random that you’ve never seen. Get spa-ing Create an at-home spa by stocking up on lovely essential oil and learning a trick or two about giving a massage on Youtube. Put on a classic tune and your significant other will melt. For a special effect ? Get yourself one of our jasmine candle for that zen vibe. Valentine from a distance Navigating a long distance relationship is not easy, especially not on a day like February 14th. But just because you’re in a LDR doesn’t mean the special occasion has to be any less romantic. For those who are celebrating Valentine apart, some fun virtual date ideas are coming your way! Stream a movie together, paint together on zoom, enjoy a sunrise or a sunset together, send them a love message through video or you can even arrange a virtual dinner date. So many options to make this one to remember!! For all our singles out there, don’t worry because next week’s column is for you!
